Weaving

Second graders are learning how to weave using colorful yarn...

and cardboard looms

The art room is almost silent with intense concentration while they are doing this because in the beginning, it's very difficult. However, once they get it, they love to weave!

The finished weavings.

You can make an easy cardboard loom at home with cut notches at the top and bottom,
thread with yarn and you're ready to weave.

New Rug

Thank you Mrs. Gosselink for the beautiful new rug in the art room. Each wall in the art room is painted a different color - blue, orange, green and yellow and the tables are color coded in the colors of the rainbow - red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. Now this beautiful rug truly makes this the colorful art room!
