Hallmark Unicef Card

I entered Hallmark’s fortieth card competition called “Unicef & You” For the contest, I painted a watercolor of a dove on a swirling background to create a holiday greeting card that focused on peace, unity, and joy all over the world.
Hallmark selected my card as one of 5 winners! Each of the winning creations - including mine - will be made into a real Hallmark card available for sale online. I created it.
Hallmark prints it.
Log on to Hallmarkcontests.com to learn more or to buy online. Starting in March, you can purchase my card online and check out the other winners.

Technology in the Art Room

Second graders used the iPad to continue their journey in the rain forest.
The free app - Hello Crayon was used to draw and color a rain forest image of their choice.
Some students used a stylus to draw and some used their finger.
Images will be used in a Power Point presentation during the Learning Fair in April.

Rain Forest Orchid

Second graders drew the beautiful rain forest orchid.
They outlined in sharpie then learned a wet into wet water color technique
to blend their colors.
Pan paint and liquid water color were used.

Beautiful!
