Learning About Lines with Mr. Dot

Meet Mr. Dot

First graders learned how to make many kinds of lines watching Mr. Dot go for a walk. 

They love coming in the art room and finding Mr. Dot in different places.  

Above you can see a student created curly, ocean and castle lines.

Then first graders learned how to paint with water colors - use enough water, fill in the shapes, clean your brush when changing colors. Hey! Where's the black and brown paint? They're missing! We save those for specific use or all the paints end up black and brown. Without them, we have beautiful, bright colors to use with the paint set up in color wheel order - Roy G. Bv. First graders learned about lines!
